If there has never been a time to celebrate being black, it would definitely seem fitting now. From black actors not being recognized at all at the Oscars for the second year in a row, to dominating at the SAG Awards, to the controversy about Beyonce’s halftime performance at this year’s Super Bowl, being black always seems to be the talk of the town. In the midst of all of that, it’s refreshing to see “Black Girl Magic” being showcased in every which way. Over this past weekend, 21 year old Sophina DeJesus of the UCLA gymnastics team showed up and showed out at the Floor 2016 vs Utah. Not only was her tumbling superb, but her dance routine in between her performance kept the crowd excited. Check out a video from her performance HERE.
